Vinnie Hansen

Now retired after teaching high school English for twenty-seven years, Vinnie Hansen lives in Santa Cruz, California with her husband, artist Daniel S. Friedman, and their very spoiled cat Lolie.

A Claymore Award finalist, Vinnie has had her short stories appear in Porter Gulch Review, Transfer Literary Magazine, Lake Region Review, phren-Z, Web Mystery Magazine, Crime & Suspense, Alchemy, several Sisters in Crime anthologies, and Santa Cruz Noir, part of Akashic Books’ famous noir series. Her short short won the Golden Donut Award from the Writers’ Police Academy.

In addition to her Carol Sabala mystery series from misterio press, Vinnie has written a stand-alone novel, Lostart Street, and is currently working on a suspense novel.
